May 11 - 14

Hello,

This week was a short week as I am absent tomorrow and there is no school on Friday or Monday. We have been dealing with Smartboard issues all last week and this week - so we have been very flexible in our learning! I was not able to take as many photos as normally - I will be back with more photos next week :)

Here is what we have been up to this week:

Math - We started learning about geometry - different types of lines, about polygons and their characteristics and angles! We learned how to use protractors today.

 

 
  

 


Autobiographies - We worked very hard on the rest of our autobiography. We took time to plan (using the TIDE planner), and wrote our paragraphs. Tomorrow, students will take time to edit and revise their writing. After the long weekend, we will be starting our next writing unit.

Hello 4C Families! A few important reminders for back to school: Please ensure that you check the blog every Friday as this will be the main form of communication regarding student activities during the school day and upcoming events. Sharing stories together or letting your child choose their favourite books can make reading a fun and enjoyable experience. Your involvement plays a crucial role in developing their love for reading and improving their skills. Every two months, I send home a Scholastic book flyer. If you want to purchase books for your child to read at home, please use the code that is written on the flyer.
