January 19 - 23

Hello everyone,

Some important reminders:

  • Please continue to practice basic fact fluency at home for at least 10 to 15 minutes every day (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).

Here is what we have been up to this week:

ELAL - We practiced making inferences.  We had a Show What you Know for predictions, connections and inferences. We also did some literacy station work that involved these skills.

Math - We learned about the greatest common factor, how to multiply and divide by 10, 100, and 1000, and played jeopardy to review for our Show What You Know about factors, multiples, prime and composite numbers. Today, we started learning how to multiply three-digit numbers by one-digit numbers. Our first strategy that we learned was Repeated Addition. We will learn more strategies next week.

Buddies - We read with our buddies.

Art - We created Jen Aranyi inspired winter landscapes!

Root of the Week - tract and grad/gred
