December 1 - 5

Happy first week of December!

Some important reminders:

  • Please continue to practice basic fact fluency at home for at least 10 to 15 minutes every day (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).

Here is what we have been up to this week:

We wrote compliments to our classmates. We talked about how amazing you feel when you spread kindness and happiness to others :)

Writing - We wrote about a place that Mrs. Desai should go to for a vacation. We created a postcard to go along with our paragraph.

Science - We did a gravity experiment on Monday. Later on this week, we played with magnets and explored how magnets work.

Math - We learned how to solve word problems involving decimals numbers using a strategy called RICE. We will have a Show What You Know on Monday to see how our math skills are being applied. Make sure you are practicing math daily at home.  Today, we also did math stations.

Buddies - We explored Ozobots with our buddies!

Art/Writing/Reading - This is a project that we will continue working on next week. Today, we listened to Snowmen at Night and drew our snowman. We brainstormed what our snowman would do at night.
